Former Blue star Lee Ryan has pleaded not guilty in court to attacking a taxi driver on New Year's Eve.
The 24-year-old denied assaulting the cabbie after a minor traffic incident in Oxted, Surrey.
During his court appearance the singer spoke only to confirm his name, address, date of birth and enter his plea.
As he left the hearing he was met by photographers and a small group of loyal female fans.
Ryan, who lives in Bickley, Kent, has been ordered to reappear at Redhill Magistrates' Court in Surrey for trial on Wednesday, May 7.
But it's possible the case may be brought forward to April 8.

The former Blue buffoon will be heffing himself over to the Redhill Magistrates Court where he will have to string a sentence together long enough to plead 'GILlTee' or 'nOTT gillTEE' to allegations that he assaulted the cabbie on New Year's Eve in Surrey.

Former boyband singer Lee Ryan has appeared in court charged with an attack on a taxi driver.
The 24-year-old ex-Blue star pleaded not guilty to assaulting a cabbie after a minor traffic accident in Oxted, Surrey, on New Year's Eve last year.

Ryan, who lives in Bickley, Kent, wore a black pin striped suit and white open collar shirt, and sported light stubble.

He spoke only to confirm his name, address, date of birth and enter his plea.

Legal adviser Stephen Green ordered Ryan to reappear at Redhill Magistrates' Court in Surrey for trial on Wednesday, May 7, with a possible option to bring the case forward to April 8.

Ryan was greeted by a bank of waiting photographers and a small group of female fans on his emergence from court.

Former boyband star Lee Ryan is expecting a baby with a fan who sent him revealing pictures of herself on the internet.

The Blue singer has fallen head over heels for Samantha Miller and the pair are planning to marry.

Ryan began dating the 20-year-old blonde after she posted a number of sexy photographs on his MySpace page.

The 25-year-old – who was previously engaged to Atomic Kitten star Liz McClarnon – asked her out on a date immediately and twosome have been inseparable since.

‘He described the pictures as “well hot,”' a friend told the Sunday Mirror.

‘He couldn't help himself and got in touch with her. Sam was a huge fan but was worried about his womanising past at first.

‘Now she is fine about it because Lee is totally devoted to her. They make a great couple,’ He said.

Nonetheless Ryan’s family and friends were stunned when he revealed that Miller was pregnant with his child at his 25th birthday party.

‘Everyone was shocked when Lee revealed he was getting wed later this year-and a baby was on the way.

‘They've only been dating a few months and we didn't expect him to settle down any time soon,’ the friend added.

Miller has reportedly been a devoted fan of Blue for a number of years and recently told the singer’s friends that she had a poster of him on her wall when she was a teenager.

Ryan and bandmates Antony Costa, Duncan James and Simon Webbe enjoyed hits such as All Rise and One Love and duetted with Elton John on a cover of Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word.


The group sold 3.5million records before splitting in 2005 but are currently considering reuniting.

His mother Sheila says: ‘Sammy is a lovely girl and she and Lee are really happy. The wedding arrangements haven't been made yet.’

Ryan was accused of assaulting photographers as they attempted to photograph he and Miller earlier this year but was eventually cleared of all charges, with a judge ruling that he acted in self-defence.

It was always unlikely relationship. She was a fan who sent

became a couple and had a baby.Defying all the barbs they said they were blissfully happy and were planning to get married.

pictures of Lee Ryan and Samantha Miller having a right old ding-dong
in the street doesn't bode particularly well for their future nuptials.

The former Blue singer was seen storming out of a Mayfair hotel yesterday, followed by Miller, 26.When she managed to get him to stop Ryan, 26, appeared to shout at his wife-to-be.
He was seen thrusting a fist full of bank notes at Samantha - signaling the row may have been over money.

Miller became increasingly upset and seemed to be wiping tears away.

In December, Miller gave birth to their son Rayn Lee Amethyst, just a year after they first met.Since
they met, Ryan has left his life in London behind and is renting a
300-year-old cottage, not far from Miller's family in rural Oxfordshire.

Blue heartthrob LEE RYAN has scored a big record deal to make his

Just imagine it, for the pricey sum of £50, a couple of pints and a bag
of salted nuts you could have Lee Ryan perform all of his erm…”hits”.
During the recession, it hasn’t been clear what the various members
of Blue have been doing. Some say they had to take up summer jobs as
cinema ushers or dog walkers. Lee Ryan has been off the radar but now it
looks like he’s back to reclaim his tile of “biggest twonk in music”
with some new tunes. But don’t scoff at the thought of him releasing
another album full of shit ballads. Oh yes, get ready to raise the roof
for an album of dance music that will delight anyone who shops in
poundland.
